Organic muscobado sugar is nutritionally richer than other brown or refined sugars and retains most of the natural vitamins and minerals found naturally in sugarcane juice such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron.

Used in baked goods and specialty recipes, muscobado sugar is also popular in confectionaries such as peanut brittle and banana chips.

When cooking with muscovado sugar, it is important to be aware that it more moisture content than other sugars, as it has a habit of behaving strangely in baked goods.

Australian Sunflower kernals and Australian Sunflower oil are back! Both organic of course.

With its light mild taste, Sunflower oil is increasingly recognised as the new cold-pressed healthy oil in restaurants and the food industry. 

Cold pressed High Oleic Sunflower oil, with its exceptional levels of mono-unsaturates (oleic acid) is ideal for cooking, frying and baking as it remains stable at high temperatures, has a high smoke point and long shelf life.

The hulled seed of the sunflower, the Sunflower kernel, acts as a functional food, by adding nutritional value to breads, muffins, crackers, cakes, biscuits and snacks. They are also make a great addition to salads, stir-fries, muesli and breakfast cereal.

They are light grey in colour with a mild nutty flavour which can be enjoyed raw or lightly roasted.

We recommend storing your olive oil in a dark bottle away from heat.

Seaweeds are sea vegetables that help to alkalise our bodies. 

They are raw, vegan, gluten free and dairy free.  

At the co-op you will find Tasmanian wakame, Japanese Kombu and Canadian Dulse.

Any large quantities of produce such as 5kg of flour or 6kg of dates can be bulk ordered. 

We charge a lesser mark-up on these items.
