 Community Foods have recently been successful in it's application for funding to continue development of the Cool Room facility out the back of the shop.
The ability to store products in climate controlled conditions
allows us to continue to provide the freshest and best food to our
customers. We used to urely on a series of industrial fridges. These
took a lot of maintenace and space in our kitchen and shop areas.
Through the hard work of a number of volunteers, we sourced a pre-loved
cool room and have progressively installed it. This has included a
number of working bees, concrete laying, fabrication of parts,
professional input from structural engineers and electricians. We have finally completed it's installation and are enjoying the extra space..
To add to all this hard work by the community, the Local Government
Gambling Community Benefit Fund has proudly funded internal shelving
for the Cool Room. This takes us a step closer to realising our
goals.
